Nalidixic Acid ELISA Test Kit
REAGEN™ Nalidixic acid ELISA test kit enables government agencies, food manufacturers and quality assurance organizations to detect nalidixic acid to as low as 5ppb level in various sample types and to satisfy customer concerns about food safety.
1. Rapid extraction method for shrimp/fish/meat samples with a high recovery rate of 75 - 105%.
2. A quick ELISA assay (less than 50min regardless of number of samples).
3. High reproducibility.
The method is based on a competitive colorimetric ELISA assay. The Nalidixic Acid Antibody has been coated in the plate wells. During analysis, sample is added along with the Nalidixic Acid-horseradish peroxidase (Nalidixic Acid-HRP) conjugate. If the nalidixic acid residue is present in the sample, it will compete for the Nalidixic Acid Antibody, thereby preventing the Nalidixic Acid-HRP from binding to the antibody attached to the well. The resulting color intensity, after addition of the HRP substrate (TMB), has an inverse relationship with the nalidixic acid residue concentration in the sample.
Sample Type | Detection Limit (ng/g or ppb) |
